What You'll Be Doing - Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic assessments, and establishing personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently (as per credentialing)
- Providing education to patients and their families on health maintenance, prevention, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with legal scope
- Engaging in follow-up patient care and chronic condition management
- Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive, comprehensive healthcare
- Accurately documenting care within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner curriculum
Required Certifications - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Indiana
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to secure within 90 days)
