Job Description

Lead the training and development of volunteers in your department. Ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities, follow procedures, and have the skills needed to succeed in their roles. Support the department’s mission by building a strong, confident volunteer team.

Key Duties:

• Develop and deliver volunteer training materials, sessions, and guides.
• Onboard new volunteers and ensure they understand department procedures.
• Monitor volunteer progress and provide ongoing coaching.
• Maintain up-to-date training resources and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Department Manager to identify skill gaps and training needs.
• Track volunteer participation and performance for reporting purposes.
• Act as the point of contact for volunteer questions and concerns.
• Encourage engagement, skill development, and a positive volunteer culture.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to teach and coach volunteers effectively.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of department operations and procedures.
• Patience, empathy, and motivational skills.
• Problem-solving and adaptability.
