STS Technical Services is hiring Assemblers to support production at TICO Manufacturing in Ridgeland, South Carolina. In this role, you’ll perform intermediate-level assembly tasks on terminal tractors. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring adherence to quality standards, efficiency goals, and safety regulations, contributing to the overall success of manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and fasten truck subassemblies, including frames, axles, powertrains, and more. Install mechanical and electrical components such as engines, transmissions, wire harnesses, and air systems. Use hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes to perform tasks. Perform quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Rotate through multiple assembly stations on each shift. Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in math and blueprint reading. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and the ability to read a tape measure. Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with Lean principles. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Commitment to flexible scheduling and punctuality. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment. Working Conditions: Work may be conducted outside of climate-controlled environments. PPE required while on production floors. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical positions such as standing, sitting, and crouching.
