Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating customized treatment plans
  • Diagnosing and addressing urgent, episodic, or chronic health conditions, either independently or in collaboration with physicians (contingent on your credentials)
  • Educating patients and their families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and chronic condition management
  • Prescribing medications and therapies in line with your licensed scope of practice
  • Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care coordination
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, comprehensive care delivery
  • Maintaining precise and thorough documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensure and Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
